Love, Life & Remote Work in the ATL.
I’m 24, living in ATL, and trying to balance securing the bag with keeping my boyfriend, Jalen, happy. I’ve tested all these remote jobs so we could spend more time together (and fund our date nights). Here’s the tea on the best gigs. 👇
Okay, working for Netflix was literally the "main character" era of my
relationship. I got a "Tagger" role where I categorized movies.
Basically, Jalen and I would order wings, sit on the couch, and "work"
by binge-watching series together. It barely felt like a job, and the
pay funded our entire summer trip.
Vibe check: 10/10. The ultimate date-night job.
If you’re obsessed with skincare, this is it. I did the remote beauty
advisor gig. The discount is insane—I literally revamped Jalen's
entire skincare routine (he pretends he doesn't care, but he uses the
moisturizer I bought him every night). You chat with customers via
video/text. It’s super cute and flexible.
Vibe check: Slay. We both glowing now.
This was hands down our favorite chapter. Working for Spotify support
meant I was constantly plugged into new music. When I clocked out,
Jalen would pick me up, I'd grab the aux cord, and we'd just drive
around Atlanta listening to the playlists I curated during my shift.
Late night drives + good music = elite bonding time.
Vibe check: Immaculate vibes.
Ugg hires seasonal remote help and it is SO cozy. Since I was working
from home, I bought us matching Tasman slippers with my employee perk.
We literally spent all winter working side-by-side at the kitchen
table in our matching Uggs. The customers are usually chill because,
well, they just want comfy shoes.
Vibe check: Cozy couple goals.
I did some social media support for Crumbl. It’s fast-paced because
people take their cookies seriously! But the best part? Jalen would
bring me a 4-pack pink box when I had a stressful shift. We bonded
over rating the weekly flavors together after I logged off.
Vibe check: Sweet, but sugar crash warning.
